Who we are
Our CQC rating
MKJ Care Services is registered with and inspected by the Care Quality Commission, the independent regulator for care in England.
Our current rating is “Requires Improvement”, from our inspection on 16 December 2022. We have not been re-inspected since.
The rating shown here comes directly from CQC and will update by itself as soon as it changes.
What you can do: read the full inspection report yourself, ask us about it on the phone, and read our reviews on this site or on homecare.co.uk.
The five things CQC inspects
An overall rating is not a single judgement. It is built from five separate ones, and ours were rated like this on 16 December 2022 — three of the five were Good. The two that were not are the ones we have been working on.
- CaringGoodKind, respectful, treated with dignity
- EffectiveGoodCare that achieves what it should
- ResponsiveGoodOrganised around the person
- SafeRequires improvementProtected from avoidable harm
- Well-ledRequires improvementLeadership, governance and culture
- Overall ratingRequires improvementThe result of the five judgements above
These are CQC’s own judgements, not ours, and we cannot change them. We have not been re-inspected since that date — when that happens is CQC’s decision. The full report explains each judgement in detail, and we would rather you read it than take our word for anything.
